Volunteer victims are needed for a disaster simulation on Saturday, June 8th for our Late Spring Basic CERT class. The class will have between 22 and 24 students.
The disaster simulation will be held at the Fire Training Academy in Millersville. You would need to arrive by 8:45am for moulage, you will be positioned around 10:15am, the exercise will begin at 10:30am, and should be complete by 11:30am (followed by debrief and photos). We are looking for 15 volunteer victims. This is a great way to get participation hours.
Remember what it was like for you when you first saw an "injured" victim screaming for help. Well, let's make it a great experience for this class as well.
For our more experienced members, we also need proctors for the disaster simulation. Proctors help with simulation setup and then follow teams during search and rescue and first aid, making sure that they and the volunteer victims remain safe and also providing helpful hints to enhance the simulation experience.
