Ready, Set, Know at the Burke Festival (09-07-2018)

The Citizen Corps Council is sponsoring the Ready Set Know tent at the Burke Festival, featuring emergency preparedness information and outreach to the general public. Our goal is to inform and educate visitors about emergency preparedness in an entertaining and engaging way. But we need lots of help. To make this event a success we need volunteers to engage with the general public, as well as to greet visitors and direct them to the activities in our tent. Please sign up for one or more shifts. We would like to have about 15 volunteers at all times to cover the various outreach tables as well as the general booth management assignments (greeters, and activity leaders). We typically try to rotate volunteers among the various assignments, so flexibility is key. We'll provide training and talking points for volunteers.
