On Saturday, April 27th, the American Red Cross will team up with local Fire Departments to provide fire safety education and install smoke alarms (for free) in areas of low income.  This is a great opportunity to work with two very important local partners and to do some good for the community.

The day starts at 8:30am at Station 33, which is a stone's throw from the Anne Arundel County Office of Emergency Management in Glen Burnie.  So, parking is easy; there's a public garage right there next to OEM.  The duration of the event is hard to tell at this point because it depends on the demand for smoke alarms and the number of volunteers but will certainly last a few hours.

There are multiple jobs available -- smoke alarm installer, fire safety educator, documenter, and runner, plus some needs for logistics support.

Installation will be in the surrounding communities of Glen Burnie and Brooklyn Park.

If you are available and interested, please email to Bruce Morgenstern at [email protected].
