We all play a part in the chain of care for a stroke patient: recognition, accessing the 911 system, dispatch, emergency response, hospital diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Learn how each piece is part of the patient care continuum as we discuss signs and symptoms, 911 intake and dispatch, first responder care, hospital diagnosis and treatment, and continued care with speech and physical therapy. The decisions we make and our ability to work together during patient care delivery literally saves a life. EMS providers attending the event will get CEUs and must bring their card to scan. *Parking is available in the visitors parking garage behind the Herrity Building.
